Created by Me
Created by Me is your working library for exercises you own.
Use this page when you are building new material, revisiting drafts, editing published exercises, or organizing your own content.
What Appears Here
Created by Me includes exercises you created, including drafts and published exercises.
This is usually the best place to:
- find something you recently created or edited
- separate draft exercises from published exercises
- reopen an exercise for editing
- create a new exercise
- add your exercises to team catalogs
- manage tags for your own exercise library
Drafts and Published Exercises
The Content State filter helps you separate:
- draft exercises you are still editing
- published exercises that are ready for wider use
Publishing makes an exercise eligible to appear in All Exercises. An exercise can still be organized in your own catalogs before or after publishing.
Creating and Organizing Exercises
A common workflow is:
- Create or duplicate an exercise.
- Find it in Created by Me.
- Publish it when it is ready for broader use.
- Add it to a team catalog if you want to organize it for a course, unit, textbook, or collaboration workflow.
- Bookmark exercises you want to revisit without changing or duplicating them.
Organizing With Tags
Tags give you a flexible way to organize the exercises you own without moving them into a separate catalog.
Use tags when you want to group exercises by:
- course or unit
- topic or learning objective
- exam, quiz, or review set
- draft status or internal workflow
- any custom label that helps you find the exercise later
Create tags from your own exercise library when you need a new label. After a tag exists, add it to the relevant exercises and use the Tags filter to narrow Created by Me to that group.
Tags are most useful when the same exercise could belong to more than one organizational idea. For example, one exercise might be tagged for a calculus unit, a midterm review set, and a remediation collection.
Use team catalogs instead of personal tags when you need a shared collection that collaborators can browse as its own catalog.
When to Use Created by Me
Use Created by Me when:
- you are looking for an exercise you own
- you need to find drafts
- you want to create a new exercise
- you want to organize your exercises into catalogs
- you duplicated a community exercise and need to find your copy
Use All Exercises when you want to search published community exercises you may not own.
Tips
- If an exercise is missing from All Exercises, check whether it is still a draft here.
- Use the content state filter before searching when you know whether you want drafts or published exercises.
- Create a tag before you need to organize several related exercises; then apply it as you edit or review them.
- Use the Tags filter when you want to work through one tagged group at a time.
- Clear filters if you cannot find an exercise you recently edited.
- Search by exact exercise ID when you already know it.
